Welcome to DocuSwift: PDF & Office Reader ("the App"), developed by VirtualBox Development ("we", "us", or "our"). Your privacy is fundamental to us. This Privacy Policy explains how our App handles your data, system permissions, and privacy when you use our document reading, editing, and scanning services on your mobile device.
1. Local Storage Traversal & File Privacy (100% On-Device)
DocuSwift operates entirely on-device. All document rendering engines, text extraction algorithms, cell grid parsers, PDF merging, digital signing, and file indexation process your device's internal storage locally.
- No Cloud Uploads: We do not transmit, upload, backup, or mirror your PDF, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, or Text files to any external servers or cloud services.
- No Content Inspection: We do not inspect, harvest, or monitor the contents of your documents or drawings.
- Local Access Only: Storage permissions granted to the App are strictly used to scan, view, edit, and save document files requested directly by you.
2. Camera & OCR Processing
DocuSwift requests Camera permission (android.permission.CAMERA) exclusively when you choose to use the Camera OCR Scanner or Image to PDF compilation tool.
- On-Device Machine Learning: Optical character recognition (OCR) is performed 100% locally on your device using Google ML Kit. Captured document photos are never transmitted over the internet.
3. Device Permissions Required
To perform document viewing, editing, and file management, DocuSwift may request the following system permissions:
- READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE / MANAGE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE: Allows the file scanner engine to locate, open, and display office documents on your storage.
- CAMERA: Enables the camera scanner to capture photos for live OCR text recognition and PDF compilation.
- READ_MEDIA_IMAGES / READ_MEDIA_VIDEO: Enables selecting gallery photos for image-to-PDF compilation.
4. In-App Billing & Advertising
DocuSwift may utilize trusted third-party SDKs to provide advertising and in-app purchases:
- Google Play Billing / Apple In-App Purchase: Processes secure subscriptions and VIP Pass purchases (Monthly, Annual, Lifetime). All payment credentials are processed directly by Google Play Store or Apple App Store.
- Google AdMob: Serves advertisements within the free tier. AdMob may use device identifiers (Advertising ID) to serve non-personalized or contextual ads in compliance with Google policies.
- Ad-Free VIP Pass: Users who subscribe to or purchase the DocuSwift VIP Pass enjoy a 100% ad-free experience.
5. Data Retention & Security
Because all documents and edited files remain exclusively on your local device, we do not maintain central databases of user personal data. Disabling permissions or uninstalling the App immediately halts all App operations. We recommend using device-level security (PIN, fingerprint, or password) to safeguard your local document storage.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect updates in app features or regulatory requirements. Any revisions will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
